You must enroll to vote if you are 18 years or over, and an Australian Citizen

How to Vote?

  1. Enroll/Re-enroll to vote.
  2. Update your enrollment detail if you need to.
  3. Select a voting option.

Enrolling to Vote

Enroll, Re-enroll, Check enrollment or Update Enrollment Details

To vote, you will need to make sure that you are enrolled.

You will need your:

  • Driver’s Licence
  • Australian Passport Number

Voting Options

  • Regular Polling – in person on election day (4th December)
  • Pre-Polling – in person before election day (22nd November – 3rd December)
  • Postal Vote – by post (26th October – 29th November)
  • Other – if eligible, online or via telephone

Regular Voting / Polling

On Election Day (4th December) you can vote at any polling venue below.
Venues are open between 8am and 6pm.

Pre-Polling

Before Election Day (22nd November – 3rd December) you can vote at any polling venue below.
Most venues are open between 9am and 5pm.

  • Belmore Senior Citizens Centre
  • Campsie Salvo Hall
  • Georges Hall Community Centre
  • Greenacre Area Community Centre
  • Lakemba Uniting Church
  • Padstow Senior Citizens Centre
  • Revesby Uniting Church

Postal Vote

If you will be unable to attend a voting centre on election day during voting hours, you can apply to vote via post.

  • Applications are open 26th October – 29th November.
  • Postal Ballots will be sent out to successful applicants from the week starting Monday 8th November
  • To be counted, your completed postal vote MUST be received by the NSW Electoral Commission by 6pm on Friday, 17th December.
    (Give yourself and your postal service plenty of time to post your vote!)

If you are eligible you can vote online. More information available here

Over the Phone

If eligible you can vote using an operator assisted telephone 1300 2 iVote (1300 248 683)

  2. Vote by putting a “1” in the Labor Group check box
