How to Vote?

  2. Update your enrollment detail if you need to.
  3. Select a voting option.

Enrolling to Vote

To vote, you will need to make sure that you are enrolled.

You will need your:

  • Driver’s Licence
  • Australian Passport Number

Voting Options

  • Regular Polling – in person on election day (14 September)
  • Pre-Polling – in person before election day (7 September – 13 September)
  • Postal Vote – by post (Apply between 19 August – 9 September)
  • Other – if eligible, online or via telephone

Pre-Polling

Before Election Day (7 September – 13 September) you can vote at any polling venue below.

(NOT OPEN SUNDAY 8 SEPTEMBER)

Most venues are open between 8:30am and 5pm.

Postal Vote

If you will be unable to attend a voting centre on election day during voting hours, you can apply to vote via post.

Timeline:

Monday, 19 August 2024: Postal vote pack distribution commences.

Monday, 9 September 2024: Postal vote applications close at 5pm.

Saturday, 14 September 2024: Vote and complete your postal vote certificate by 6pm.

Friday, 27 September 2024: Completed postal votes must be received by the NSW Electoral Commission by 6pm.

General postal voters will automatically receive ballot papers in the mail for this election.

If you are eligible you can vote online. More information available here

Over the Phone

If eligible you can vote using an operator assisted telephone 1300 2 iVote (1300 248 683)
